With the new year a tonne of folks set out new routines, create resolutions, and take a chance on a fresh, new start. Some focus on finances while others work on wellness. Others try and kick naughty habits. This new year, are you attempting a new you?

As I prepare to close out 2017 I can’t help but reflect back on what went well and what was total, mind-boggling nasty shit. Ugh, right? I choose not to spend time regurgitating the awful bits. Nope, I will not. What reflecting privately does do is reminds me what I endeavour to be as a person and the services I provide through my business. AKA: trying to take the positive outlook.

Well, September is here. Back to school, back to work, or just back to it. Post Labour Day, Calgary – and many other places – seem to desire a routine to make the most of the latest season. The relaxed, chill vibe of is gone. Fall is coming; it’s time to rise and grind.

Dear Closet... We need to talk. I’ve been meaning to bring it up for a long while but I just didn’t know how. But it’s a new year. With a new year often come resolutions. This is mine. See, and I say this with love, you have been getting out of hand. It’s too much. 

Moving is big business and competitive. That’s why there are endless moving companies in the city and many make over the $150 per hour mark. Although I prefer to spend my time at stores in the mall and street level boutiques uselessly lusting after summer sandals in the bleak winter, I am spending a lot of time at one particular store: Home Depot.
