Oh what a night. Fuelled by the recent launch of the Times Ups initiative - which promises to give a voice and resources to those affected by workplace sexual harassment - Sunday night’s Golden Globes marked a new beginning. A new beginning that was overwhelming dressed in black.

With all off the alleged sexual assault details coming out of Hollywood many people are shocked. The list keeps getting longer. Some have claimed that they didn’t see it happen. Or that it didn’t happen to them. That’s fine. I urge you to believe the ones that say they have been assaulted in some way.

What.Is.Going.On? What’s going on is that women continue to be the victims of unwanted physical – and sexual – contact right out in public. During the holiest of times: Fashion Week. In most cases the assault occurs but goes without penalty. 

Every May, the movie community heads to the French Coast for the Cannes Film Festival. The film elite has been rubbing elbows there for over 70 years. It is one of the best festivals to launch your flick in front of a ravenous and welcome audience. The weather doesn’t hurt either.
