Too much this, not enough that, and the sweet spot in between can cement a celebrity look in the fashion archives forever. Or until another big event in our ever changing news cycle sweeps us away.
CFDA: Why It’s So Much More than Fashion Awards
Every year, the CFDA Awards honours the best of brightest of the fashion industry. Outside of the awards for the designers, they highlight stand out people outside of the immediate fashion community. This year, 3 Board of Directors’ Tribute awards were given to Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards; the inimitable powerhouse Gloria Steinem; and musician and actor, Janelle Monáe.

Like any other fashion fanatic, these past couple weeks viewing the Spring/Summer presentations are an insatiable treat. First New York, now London, and soon enough it will be time for Paris. Le sigh. As the collections strut their way down the runway, my eyes been drawn to the floor.

Chanel Mock Protests... What Exactly?
This past week Karl Lagerfeld and the team at Chanel created a scene for the Spring Summer 2015 presentation at Paris Fashion Week. The collection was presented on “Boulevard Chanel” – an indoor constructed Parisian street scape. While the collection was fantastic, totally wearable and uber desirable, I was drawn more to the spectacle of it all.
