We made it to another holiday season fashion friends. You may have a few things left to cross off your list in the next few days but soon enough, you likely be surrounded by loved ones. ‘Tis the season.

Every year, as part of my holiday preparation I am faced with the daunting task of packing everything ready for travel. It can be quite the challenge to get all the gifts, snow gear, and clothes home for family time. The added complexity being that we usually fly. Now I’m rarely scared of a logistical challenge, rather I tend to thrive. So humble of me, right?

The holidays are a lot (a lot of shopping, food, family, and booze, to be specific). It’s a whole bunch of preparation for a few days to get together with loved ones and make it a magical time. ‘Tis the season. As each person’s traditions – or lack thereof – are different, I’d like to share with you the true gift of the holidays: Christmas fashion. 

Lululemon’s retail store garment bags tell me to, “Do one thing a day that scares you.” Touché, Lululemon, let’s face a fear. For instance, I could wear Croc shoes. That’s terrifying but a hard pass for me. A gal needs her morals and it’s off topic. I need to meet this particular fear head on. Thus, I’ve created my own multiple-choice style pop quiz. Here’s a few holiday season scenarios where what you wear matters.

Dope graphic sweaters aside, I believe the true gift of the season is love. Love is it. Love for 'yo self and for those around you that bring light into your life. You deserve it. Enjoy the holidays.

This past weekend I attended two events requiring holiday fashion with a slightly formal dress code. ‘Tis the season. One was a corporate event. It was lovely but there’s not much noteworthy to share. The other was a student how-to fashion show where I showed looks and explained etiquette and fit. The idea is that you hear from those in the know so that you don’t make a fool – or dress like one - when you start your career.
